anti-spam quesiton |

I understand Exchange 2003 has anti-spamming functionality but many people
give me inconsistent answers as to its functionality. I would like to know
if Exchange 2003 + Outlook 2003 alone is good enough to combat spam. Is it
still necessary to install another third-party anti-spamming tool? The
general feeling is that the built-in anti-spamming functionality is not good
enough, that's why need third-party add-on, is it true? If the built-in
functionality is good enough, where do all these third-party anti-spamming
tools stand?

Exchange 2003 SP2 with Outlook 2003 is very good at combating spam, if you
use IMF, Sender Filtering, Recipient Filtering and Connection Filter you
will have a good solution.

We use an external mail filtering service called mxlogic which is very good,
they also provide an added layer of security by doing a virus scan on
incoming mail and with the fail safe option if your exchange box goes down
they will store your mail for 5 days with unlimited disk space which is a
major plus from a CYA aspect. and the best part is you do not have to try to
keep up with the spammers they do it for you and it is relatively in
expensive. check'em out

So, you concluded Exchange2K3+Outlook2k3 is not good enough, need
third-party to do the job?
