0l2002 - Can't open certain calendar items after upgrading t |
|

Hi,
I upgraded our single Exchange server from 2000 to 2003 over the weekend,
and applied SP2 as well. There were no evident problems during the upgrade,
however one of my users is having trouble with certain recurring calendar
items. Most of the calendar items open just fine, whether recurring or not,
however when she attempts to open certain items, she receives a pop up
window displaying: "Cannot read one instance of this recurring appointment.
Close any open appointments and try again, or recreate the appointment.".
It is necessary to acknowledge the error close to 50 times, before it goes
away; I'm guessing the error is displayed for each recurrnance. At any
rate, there are no other appointments open when receiving the error, and I
am unable to delete the appointment either. If the user opens her calendar
using OWA, the problem calendar items are not displayed.
Also, I am receiving the following errors in the Exchange server application
log:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSExchangeIS
Event Category: General

Microsoft KB articles KB830836 & KB 842022 address the similar errors,
however neither seem to exactly apply to my situation.
Client is using OL2002 running under Citrix Metaframe Presentation Server
3.0. No other users are experiencing any problems.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks!!
