SP2 Rollback |
|
|
Is there any way to safely uninstall SP2 from Exchange 2003? During our
testing, a problem was not identified. Now we've found that it causes some
problems with another application.
Is there a good uninstall method?
thanks.

SP2 can not be removed.
What problem have you encountered? |

It's with a specific legal application called Prolaw. It has an Exchange
agent that posts items to public folders that are created from within the
application. It's causing a ton of errors in the event viewer. The
application maker has aknowledged that it's a problem but they don't have a
fix yet.
We aren't quite sure exactly what was broken either. Most of the
functionality seems to be there but the amount of errors worries me.

What are the errors?
I would pressure them before attempting to remove SP2. If you must I
would move mailboxes/folders etc to another SP1 server.

I agree with Andy, also my wife is an Attorney who uses this.
I also would force them to fix it, it is possible you can help them do it.
I have heard some gripes as well, trust me...ha ha ha
I might call support myself and give the 'REAL"
