A company is using exchange 2003 coupled with Double Take to replicate the
edb files to another location for DR. What is not being done is a
replication or backup of transaction logs. I always heard you should backup
the logs. What is the repurcussions from only having the edb files and no
transaction logs should a restore be needed or should I work to convince them
to start backing up / replicating those files also? Thank you!

First off, doubletake doesn't work like that/

Second, the use of Doubletake is not a substitute for not backing the
box up properly. You should use an Exchange aware backup application
(ntbackup.exe on the Exchange server is good and free). This wil back
the logs and stores up, and then purge the logs out.
