Exact procedure for SP2 deployment on 2 node exchange cluste |

Hi all,
Firstly thanks to this Group who are really working hard to make others
learn more and share knowledge.
I am running 2-node Exchange 2003 EE in active/passive configuration on
WIndows 2003 Server EE. Right now all my cluster group, MSDTC group &
Exchange virtual server group are on NODE1 and is running happily. I stopped
cluster service on NODE2 (since passive), installed Exchange 2003 SP2 &
restarted NODE2.
Now as per the docs of microsoft, I took offline System attendent running on
NODE1, started cluster service on NODE2, moved it to NODE2 and then right
clicked on Exchange Virtual server. I got the new menu option "Upgrade
Exchange Virtual Server", but when I selected, it gives me an error saying
that "The version of Exchange on this computer does not match the version of
Exchange on server 's servername".
Now I was puzzled to see how it had thrown an error inspite of following all
the steps of microsoft. Can someone help me in getting my 2-node exchange
2003 cluster upgraded to SP2 ?
Right now I left it to work on NODE1 owner of all groups, and NODE2
(passive) upgraded to SP2 but failing to upgrade Exchange Virtual server.

When you got the error about the version not matching, were you sitting at
(or terminal servered into) the NODE2 computer? You will need to move
ownership of the resources to NODE2 (the upgraded node) and then also be
running the CluAdmin program on NODE2 in order to complete the upgrade. If
you run CluAdmin from NODE1, you will be trying to upgrade to SP2 with the
SP1 bits on the NODE1 server...

Before an EVS can upgraded to SP2 all the nodes that can control that evs
must be at SP2. Update Node1 to SP2 and then try again :)
