At the moment I have my domain on which I like to configure exchange w2k.
On my domain I have AD configured with ISA2000.
Recently I configured a third server as fileserver which is a memberserver,
on that machine eMule is currently running.
Now I want that specific server to be my exchange server to, because it's p4,
RAM: 512MB, 200GB Hdd.
I prepared the server with forestprep first.
For exchange to work I need AD acces, but on the member server that is a
problem, because of the AD rights.
Is there a workaround?

Many problems occure due to dust on the hardware parts of your computer.
Clean it at least once every year!

Its not uncommon to install Exchange on a member server (actually its best
practice).

Are you using a Domain account with the correct rights? Please refer to the
following document;

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/exchange/2003/library/ex2k3ad.mspx

Hello there Jonathan,
Thank you for your reply here.
I try 2 options:
Log on as local machine admin or log on as Ent. admin (which limits my rights
I found at the local memberserver) but have acces to the AD.
First I'll read the technet files.
Thanks again.

You will need to log in as an Enterprise Admin, local machine account will
not work since you will need permissions to write to AD.
