after mailbox move |
|
|
Hi
is there a way to make my outlook auto refresh the "exchange server" field
so he will find the new location of a mailbox after it has been moved from
one server to another?
Thanks

That should happen automatically for mapi clients as long as the first
servers Exch services are still up and running. |

Not bad advice, I always try to have the user close up Outlook as
well, but Exchange will disconnect and prevent the user from logging
on to the mailbox during a move.
As for the blackberry, shutting their device wont do much since its
the bb server that communicates via mapi,.. not sure if that is what
you meant.

I agree with Andy ... I've never had a problem moving mailboxes even with
them open (and that includes mailboxes with BBs). Exchange seems to handle
this properly. We've moved thousands ...
