|
|
Hi Guys,
OWA is working fine, however when i click on logoff, it prompts me for a

here is the deal.
when i logon i use : myusername , and my password
when i logoff i get prompted for a username and password, i enter my
password but no luck, however if i type domain\username it logs iff nicely,
how can i fix this please?
it should not prompt me for any kind of authentication wherbn i log off?

Out of curiosity if you log on using domain\username and then password will
it let you log off without authentication that way?

It souds like an IIS authentication method issue.
Check this note: 325906 at support.microsoft.com
You may have to reset to default the IIS Virtual Directory authentication
methods.
Remember: if you change settings from IIS, you may found that this settings
are not in use, because Exchange System Attendant can set back this change.
I hope this can help you!

Im sorry Transam, maybe you misunderstood me
when i logon i use : username abc123 and password xxx
when i try to log off from owa, it prompts me for a username and password
and if i use username abc123 and password xxx it wont work, i should use
domain\abc123 and password xxx to log off...
my question is why does exchange prompts me for a username and a passwword
when i want to log off?

You probably have integrated authentication enabled on the Exchweb\bin
virtual directory. Follow the instructions in this KB to fix that:
XCCC: Cannot Log off Exchange 2000 Front-End Server While You Are
Using OWA [325906]
