Am I in Native or Mixed Mode? |
|
|
HI, I have two Exchange 2000 SP3 servers. They are running on Windows
2000 Server Standard SP3. The servers are running in mixed mode
because there are other non-domain controllers with software (on NT4)
that cannot work with native Windows 2000 mode.
I am trying to install Exchange 2003 on a different (third) sever,
Windows 2003. When the documentation speaks of native and mixed modes,
is it talking about the "domain mode"? I do not have any Exchange 5.5
servers running, so I thought when the docs were talking about native
or mixed they meant only Exchange. But it could be talking about the
OS.
Thank you for any help.

Well, I decided to make it native. I have no NT 4 domain controllers,
only member servers. I know of no reason to have a mixed mode domain
anymore. |

It could be talking about both (either or). Depends on the context.
