internal domain name does not match external domain name |

Hi,
I just setup exchange on an older Sbs server.
The domain name of lcoal DC does not match the domain name for yahoo.
i have the domain name registered with yahoo.com , and set the mx to my external ip of our router . nslookup veries this is correct.
i cannot receive email i think because mx record on the server does not match the name of the yahoo account?
ex :
local domain controller abc.local
yahoo domain - mail.1213.com
how do i have my exchange server receive and send email from/to yahoo?
i can send email on my intranet but receive an error on receive
pinging mail.1213.com (yahoo domain name) resolves to my firewall I.P
so how do i get my exchange to recognize the yahoo hosted domain name?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
