can send and receive internal but not external email |

Hi,
I'm new here and am by no means qualified to be working in exchange, however our firm added a router over the weekend to our network (a cisco NSV4000 small business router). Since then no external email. I have opened port 25 for smtp but still no luck. Is there a setting in exchange that allows you to designate the inside port to something other than 25 and if so how do I find it?
Also if there could be other ports or things I should be looking for when adding a router please let me know.
Thanks Peter

Hello Peter,
Few questions for you.
1. As we know that email was working before we put this new router in place, looks like a routing problem only. Do we have issue only with sending or receiving or both?
2. If you send email from a yahoo/gmail account to your official email, do you get any bounce back?
It would be helpful if you can provide any logs or bounce backs as it will help all of us to sort this issue out for you.
