Mailbox permissions |
|
|
I run exchange 2003 in windows 2003 domain, and we use outlook 2000 SP3.
One of my users noticed in outlook 2000 SP3 they could go to file, open
other users folder, and they were able to open anyone's inbox this way.
Obviously I don't want people to be able to open other users inboxes.
I went into ADUC, users properties, exchange advanced, mailbox rights. I
have many groups listed including: Anonymous logon, Authenticated users,
Domain Admins, Enterprise Admins, Everyone, Exchange Domain Servers, Exchange
Services, exservice(exservice@domain.int), SELF, Server1$(Domain\Server1$)
How is everyone able to open everyone else's mailbox?

Thanks for your help.

Did you give 'everyone' full control over the accounts in AD? Access to
mailboxes can be configured through mailbox rights under the exchange tab,
and it can also be done through the security over the account itself.

Hi I was wondering if anyone has figured out how to get rid of the inherited
permissions on users mailbox rights for the group everyone? Or where it is
getting it's permissions from.
Thanks,
Erik
