There is no way to authenticate to a HTTP Proxy when using Outlook 2003 and
RPC over HTTP.
The issue is that we use the WinHTTP interface which does NOT provide
"Authentication Windows" like WinINET does for Internet Explorer.
The best bet is to get the firewall/proxy configuration changed to allow you
through, or not prompt at all.

work a company that has a firewall/proxy setup to get out to the
internet. They allow HTTP/HTTPS traffic out but I need to be able to
authenticate to their proxy server first. I've tried to connect to
Exchange from Outlook and it just won't connect.
It does not prompt me for login to the internal proxy, so I'm guessing
it doesn't use IE's connection settings.
Is there no way to authenticate to a corporate proxy before hitting the
exchange proxy?
Thank you,
