Hello,

I try to access Microsoft Exchange Server via "Outlook as an
Exchange-Client" , and i got an error ("server unavailable"). If i
access the backend, it works.

If i access the frontend via IMAP/POP3/OWA everything works fine.

This is by design ??? Exchange front end servers will not proxy for
Outlook (MAPI) clients. Why??? What can i do ???

Hi Fabio,

Could you please give me a brife of when exactly you get an error message
:Server Unavailable"?.

What exactly do you mean by saying from backend server it works fine.?

Thank you mohammed

I have it 2 machines, a Back-end Exchange Server and Front-End OWA.

If i access the frontend via Microsoft Outlook using IMAP/POP3 and/or
OWA everything works fine.

If i try to access Microsoft Exchange Server via Outlook i got an error
("server unavailable"). If i access the backend directly, it works.
