i found the steps necessary on the web to download the global address book to
a laptop. click on tools, address, download, ect. my problem is that the
options for address books are blank on the final step. i am not sure how to
get them to showup. what is need to force the global address book to showup
and download it for offline lookup?

environment:
exchange server 5.5 sp 3 and client with outlook ver 2000.

best regards,

Hi Gordon,

You need to create a Offilne address book from the Exchange System Manager
and dedicate one Exchange Server as an Offline Address Book Server in your
Organization.

This Offline Address Book may vary for Exchange 2000 and Exchange 2003.

Please use this link to know more about creating a Offline Address Book.
