Using Exchange 2003 SP1. I had a user complain that after she hits logoff and
returns to her workstation and logs back into OWA the most recent mail she
had been reading disappeared not in trash or any other folder. I wrote it off
as user error until I had another user complain that it happened to her
today. Can anyone think of a possible solution/cause for this or ever seen it
before?
Thanks

One possible solution is that the user has selected the 'Unread Messages'
view in OWA.

Thanks for the response. I checked and gathered some more info. The view is
not the problem as the other mail is still there. They always (only when this
occurrs not that often) lose the last email received. The user thought it was
caused by hitting the logoff button, they would be reading a mail and logoff
and when they returned that 1 mail was gone. So they stopped using the logoff
and just shut the browser down but it has happened again. Only 2 users have
complained about this so far. Any other thoughts?

Might be a server-side rule? If you open the mailbox in Outlook, have
the messages gone from there, too.
