I hope this is the right post, if not I apologize. I also hope you can
understand my question.

We currently have a single AD Domain locally installed within our company.
We also have an internet presence using xyz.com. We have our internal
namespace setup using local.xyz.com. We recently added a second domain name
that we want to use for email because it it much shorter than our current
domain name. Lets call this wxyz.com. The powers that be want to use our new
domain for email and our old domain for the website. Can we still use our
single AD Domain with local.xyz.com, put the new Exchange Server inside this
single AD Domain and point it to use the newly registered domain? Or what
would be the best approach for this senario? We currently have our email and
website hosted off-site. We are striving to bring both in-house.

Thanks!

Eric

You can have whatever.mycompany.com as your internal AD domain name and use

mycompany.com as your e-mail domain very easily. Just add mycompany.com to
the recipient policy/policies and make it the default. See

Thanks for the reply.
After I posted I realized I made it more difficult than what it really was.
I figured it out after I thought about it for a minute.

Yes, it's pretty simple. :)
