RE: Smart Host Cluster |

Jusst create an SMTP connector in your organization, make sure cost to
domain "*" is 1 and voila, your cluster don't need to know much more. Make
sure your smarthost accepts SMTP connections from the cluster's PHYSCIAL
NODES IP addresses.

I'm migrating an old Exchnage 5.5 cluster to a new Exchnage 2003 cluster.
All works fine but i need to route the outgoing messages to an smart host
( a sendmail server). Now the messages are routing in the IMS of the
Exchnage 5.5 that sends to the sendmail server.
I need to create a smtp connector to route the messages for the new exchange
2003? Or the only that i need is configure the default smtp virtual server
with a smart host?
Anothre question . To route the messages for the new cluster I need to
delete the * in the addres space of the IMS 5.5 an recalculate routing? Or
put in the ims a smart host routing to the new exchange 2003 ?
Resuming, I need that the Exchnage route all the messages (5.5 and 2003
users) for the 2003 cluster and this resend to the sendmail.server.
Thanks in advance
