Exchange Store Fails |
|
|
I have a cluster and the primary server gets this error about 5 minutes
before the store fails. The normally passive node can control exchange with
no issues. Any ideas?
Faulting application store.exe, version 6.5.7226.3, stamp 407db771, faulting
module ese.dll, version 6.5.7226.2, stamp 407b0d48, debug? 0, fault address
0x00004d03.
This has happened twice in a week and we can't determine the cause.

What is the difference between the two node? Is there any other antivirus
software(/or other application software may use ese.dll) installed on the
primary node and not on the passive node?

I have Panda Antivirus for Exchange on both nodes of the cluster. They are
both running only the necessary Windows components for a cluster and exchange
03 hosting. Configurationally, and software wise the servers are identical.
Do you think that the .dll is the problem and not store.exe?

I'm not familiar with this Antivirus software, I have seen other antivirus
software bug causes ese.dll to crash. Could you repro this problem on a
system without the antivirus software?

SmileyGuyQ,
Just to let you know that I have the same setup as you EXCEPT no
cluster. Panda, Exchange 2003, all the same and my store carshed with
the same error message. So rule out cluster causes.....

Muchos Gracias Pedro. That tidbit of information is eactly what I was hoping
for. I'll look into either replacing my anti-virus or working with Panda to
fix the problem.
