Hi,
we are having a 2 node Active/Passive cluster running on Exchange
2003/Windows 2003. Sometimes the server will stop responding and the cluadmin
also doesn't work. Since we have monitoring software we come to know that
all the resources are offline. The resources will not get failed over to the
passive node.
in event logs of active node we find ntfs-event 55- "The file system
structure on the disk is corrupt and unusable. Please run the chkdsk utility
on the volume.
Event: 2019 "The server was unable to allocate from the system nonpaged pool
because the pool was empty."

The problem will get fixed once we reboot the active node. while rebooting
the resources will get failover to the Passive node.

Please let me know if anybody has faced this kind of problem.

Sounds like maybe you have a lack of memory problem or on the disk where the
pagefile is located? What do you have for both of these?

Cheers,

Rod

Shashi,

Are you running Groupshield on this cluster? We had a very similar problem
and it seemed to be related to Groupshield 6. I can't say which one of the
various patches finally fixed the problem but there was one (or a combination
of several) on the McAfee web site that addressed this problem and it has
gone away (for now).
