Hello All,

I'm going to perform a server migration where i will migrate all my servers
to new hardware, during this migration i will also migrate my Exchange 5.5
server to Exchange 2003.
Currently exchange 5.5 is running on a Windows 2000 DC with ADC.
I already tested this migration in a test invironment (vmware) with no
problems.

Microsoft states that Exchange 2003 will run on Windows 2000 but that
Windows 2003 is recommended, are there any reasons for my to upgrade my OS
on the Exchange server to windows 2003 ?
Are there any documents or links about the advantages of using windows 2003
over windows 2000 to justify the upgrade ?

Thanks for your help.
Kris

Hello Kris

Please see the following two links. The first compares the features
available if you use Windows 2003 instead of Windows 2000. The second link
is a doc called "What's New in Exchange Server 2003" and has descriptions of
when Windows 2003 would be required.

http://www.microsoft.com/exchange/evaluation/features/win_compare.mspx

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/exchange/guides/WhatNewE2k3/4edc726f-e952-4799-a78d-90596212fb49.mspx

Hope this helps.
