Unable to receive SMTP mail on Exchange 2003 |
|
|
I am attempting to replace an NT4 server running Exchange55 with SBS 2003
advanced running Exchange2003. The external domain name stays the same.
The router stays the same - just redirecting TCP port 25 to the new SBS
server. I am
able to send email out using an Outlook client attached to the new server but
get no email coming back in.
I have verified that I can telnet to the new server on port 25 and that the
SMTP addresses on the clients I have setup are correct. When I run the email
checker from http://msv.dk/ms980.asp ; I get the msg: SMTP server failure:
Operation timed out.
I have run the wizard setup and checked other settings several times. The
problem appears to be with the SMTP addresses on the SBS server not being
found.
Anyone have any ideas?
