New To Exchange, looking for advice |
|
|
Hi,
I have recently installed Exchange 2003 on a new Server, and want to do a
couple of things:
1. I need good reading material for running Exchange, any advice?
2. Our e-mail currently is hosted by our ISP (Our Company is a 30 person
Company), and I need to work on moving that from their control to our
Exchange server. Any advice on how to proceed with that as well?
Pitfalls??? Thanks for any help!

Hi Mike,
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/exchange/2003/library/default.mspx
would be a good start for E2K3 documentation.
In order to have mail delivered to your Exchange server you'd need to have
your MX record changed so it points to you and not your ISP - I'd suggest
making this change on a weekend as it can take a few days for the change to
propogate. Contact your ISP (or whoever controls your DNS) to change your
MX record.
Hope this helps!
