I just setup the new Exchange group and System attendant. When opening
Exchange System Manager and going to the properties of the Virtual Server to
change the Log file location there is an error in the log file location field
that says:
An error occurred during a call to Windows Management Instrumentation ID no:
80041002 Exchange System Manager
Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Jeremey

Hi Jeremy,

Is the Exchange Management Service running on this system?

Scott,

This is quite odd, I just went in to System manager and everything is fine
now. Odd that it needed some time to figure this out or is that normal?
Should that service be set to Auto or manual?

thanks for your help,
Jeremey

Since this was a new EVS, it is possible you were dealing with some
replication issues that worked themselves out after a bit of time.

The service should be started and set to Automatic. It is the only Exchange
service that should be set to Auto start in a cluster.

Hope this helps.
