I am trying to register the sample event sink from Exchange2003 SDK. I ran
the VB application included with the sample to register the event and all
that good stuff. It just does not get past the connection opening. I am
running the applicaton from the exchange server box itself.

Here is the connection string from the sample..

txtFolderURL.Text = "file://./backofficestorage/" & SysInfo.DomainDNSName &
"/"

Is there any change that I need to make in the system to make it work?

Thanks

I think the issue I have is that I am not specifying the folder to connect
to or something. I am trying to use this registration application to
register the sink on all the mail folders. Lets say that I have domain
"foo.com" and I want to register the event sink. Now I want to open the
connection to store using ADO provider. Will the following connection string
work or do I need to append some more data to it?

file://.//backofficestorage/foo.com/

Thanks

More data to it. Event sinks either bind to folders in mailboxes or public
folders or they're global which means they go in the system mailbox. What
you have it not a valid path for a connection string.
