We have been experience a problem with cleints where they have a previous
version of the Outlook Custom and have loaded it into the personal forms
library. We place our custom forms in the Organizational Form Library.
During subsequent upgrades the Custom Form changes, however the clients
still have the older form in the Personal Forms library and the cache is not
clearing.

I need to know if there is a way to clear the cache from the Add-In or
programmically during installation. Also I would like to access the local
folders/libraries to clear any reference to the older form.
Any help would be great.

You never, ever should have a form published to both the Organizational
Forms Library and the Personal Forms Library. That is a guaranteed way to
corrupt your forms cache.

See the information at http://www.outlookcode.com/d/formscache.htm for more
information and information on how to clear the forms cache. Also, there's
information and a downloadable code sample at www.cdolive.com for using CDO
1.21 code to access the Personal Forms Library. Any form published there is
stored as a hidden item that can be deleted.
