Need Help with OWA Administration Util |
|
|
We have attempted to install OWAAdmin on a W2k workstation and 2 diferent XP
workstaions all with the same results. Once it installs and we try to run it
we get an incomplete web page and nothing usefull on it at all. At the top
(under the address bar) we get this string of code " type="text/css"
rel="stylesheet"> a heavy blue horizontal line and a couple of pictures of
Gears, a drop down arrow with nothing in it and a bunch of bullets with no
text. We have read the short "readme" and followed the few instructions with
no success. Any Ideas??

Nothing in that artical helps. The Browser window looks like what's in the
artical however there is no text on anything. Also between the Address bar
and the pretty blue line you see there with the Outlook Logo is the line of
code I mentioned earlier.

I'm having the same problem, Michael. At the request of an MS guy in the SBS
2003 NG, I've already uninstalled/reinstalled .Net Framework 1.1 with no
improvement.

Hi Gary,
I got tired of this and burned one of my support calls. The Exchange
Engineer loaded teh tool and got teh same results as we are getting, so it's
not us. And he doesn't have SharePoint so it's not that either. I'll let you
know what teh fix is as soon as I get it. Might now be til Monday, getting
late for me and I want to go home soon....

I had the exact same problem installing owaadmin on xp sp2 workstation and solved it this way:
1) Open IIS Manager and right-click "Default Web Site," choose "Properties."
2). On the ASP.NET tab, set the ASP.NET version (mine was 1.1.4322 but have had more than one version) and click apply.
3) When you pull the page up again, it should work but you get a second error when you navigate to a new page. The new error tells you to run "aspnet_regiis -c"
Open command prompt and run the command from this directory (your version may be different):
C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322>
Hopefully it will work for you as it did for me... i'm hesitant to post because it didn't seem like I did anything in steps 1 and 2 |
