exchange redundansy |

I have 2 location (NY and Mia) I currenty have 1 exchange
5.5 server in Mia that serve the entire company. I am
planning to migrate to E2k3 and I would like to find out
how I could redesign to have some kind of redundancy in
the event that a link or a site should go down. Any
suggestion will be appreciated.
Thanks

That depends on how you define redundancy and/or highly available service.
Can you provide more details about what you want to achieve?

Currently the mail server is in Mia and the NY office
acces it via the WAN link. If for any reason the mail
server in Mia goes down or the WAN link is down, I would
the NY office to continue receiving email. Is it possible
to have another mail server in the NY office with a share
database to the Mia server

It is possible but very expensive to share the database. The concept is
often referred to as geo-clustering.
A cheaper way to accomplish this is to create two servers and use MX records
that define both NY and MIA as responsible mail handlers. That way if one
is out of commission, the other can queue the mail until it comes on line.
That of course, depends on your networking topology and how you want it to
work.
