Need advise |
|
|
Hi All,
At the moment we have a Exchange 2000 server running in our network with 150
mailboxes.
In a few months we have to install/configure a Exchange 2003 Enterpise
cluster with approximately 1000 mailboxes.
We want to provide high availability for our exchange server.
How can I easily migrate these 150 mailboxes to this new exchange
environment? Just install the cluster and
use Move mailbox in Active Directory??
What about the profile of the user...do I need to change some things here?
And last but not least. Are there any configuration things I need to take
care off...for example can I use
one Storage Group??
Thanks in advance..

If you would use the move mailboxes then the profiles will be automatically
updated. Best is to install the new server in the same organization as you
have now to make the transfer easiest.
You could have 1000 users in a storage group .. you can even have 100,000
users in a storage group. It all depends on how much data and how heavy
users they are.

No problem at all. I am currently running 5.5, 2000 and a 2003 cluster all
in one site. Exchange is designed to work with other Exchange versions
(pretty much).
