Hi,
I have a relatively new exchange 2003 over Standard Windows server 2003.
Unfortunately the server acts as the main Domain controller on the small
organization.

I get the event 9665 event whenever store.exe is stating.

I have 2GB of RAM instilled on the server. The /3GB and the /USERVA
parameters at NOT configured on the server, Since the server is both an
active directory and a global catalog.

The question: Should I configure the /3GB and the /USERVA even though it's a
DC and GC?

Yes you can,
However the /3GB switch on a GC makes so the DS services use up to 1GB cache
for LDAP requests.

I'm always a big believer in listening to the designers of the product I'm
using and they're recommended configurations. They often have a reason for
the recommendation even if not fully explained every time <g>

"Note For Exchange Server computers which are at the same time Active
Directory Domain Controllers or Global Catalog servers we do also not
recommend setting the /3GB switch in boot.ini. We recommend having dedicated
Active Directory Domain Controllers or Global Catalog servers.
The following sections in this article contain recommendations for each of
these settings"
