1st server in organisation |
|
|
Hello,
i'd like to know more about the 1st server in the mixed-mode exchange5.5-
2003organisation:
- what roles does it hold? are they re-assignable to another server in the
organisation?
- it seems that system public folders (free/busy, EFORMs, OABs) for the
organisation can only be modified from the ESM interface from that 1st server.
If I wanted to decommission the 1st server in the organisation to be
replaced by another server, how would I go about doing this? any materials
describing this procedure?
Thank you,

The most important role is SRS (Site Replication Service), which is
responsible for replicating configuration information between Exchange 5.5
Site and AD. Also it acts as an endpoint for the ADC agreements.
