Hi,

I have a new Exchange Server and at the moment we are using a POP3 server.

The POP3 server is hosted by our ISP and they hold the MX Records for
domain.com and what I want to do is setup my new Exchange Server with
domain.com aswell, how could I forward email from the POP3 server hosting
exactly the same domain name as my new Exchange Server with the least amount
disruption to my users. This is surely not possible as it is not possible to
have emails sent to the same domain name in the public domain but hosted on
seperate types of server.

I am at a bit of a loss and need some help, is this at all possible and if
not what be a good way of doing it.

Cheers

Dave

If you want Exchange Server to pull (POP) your mail from your ISP and
distribute it the mail to your user mailboxes you will need to purchase a
Third Party POP connector.

I would however suggest hosting your own SMTP mail using Exchange. Ask your
ISP if they can provide you with a Static IP. If you have a dedictated
Internet Connection then you can easily set this up. This the preferred
method for Exchange. Here is a good article that explains how to setup,
