Exhange 5.5 and unable to send attachments |

Hi,
We are expereincing an attachment problem on our Exchange 5.5 SP4 server
(Win NT4 SP6a), around once a month all of our users (various versions of
outlook 2000 - 2003) suddenly unable to send attachments, and receive various
messages like below:
"The Operation failed." - Outlook 2002 - trying to forward an existing
message with attachment
"Could not open one or more attachments" - Outlook 2000 - trying to open an
attachment
I orinigally had this error on a previous server I worked on a few years ago
and managed to solve the problem, but have been unable to do so on this
server. I have applied all exchange updates that are available and Windows
NT is up to date. Checking the event log, there are no events that relate to
this problem, and a straight forward reboot of the server fixes the problem
for a few weeks.
We also run Trend Server Protect on the server, but the problem has only
started to happen in the last few months and this AV software has been
running for at least the last year.
Anyone know how to resolve this problem?
