One of my users is experiancing a strange problem - all internal mail via the
Exchange is delivered fine. However, the server is retrieving the mail from
the web account but not posting it to the user.

I know this is happening, because I can sit and watch mail posted to his web
account via a webmail interface, I then see it get deleted by the server as
it is downloaded (as I have specified) but it just vanishes after the server
has collected it.

This user normally gets 100 email plus per day and currently is getting 0.

Any ideas? I am using sbs 2003. User can send external mail fine. THANKS.

Does the mail show in the User Mailbox Deleted Items? Does the user have
any Outlook Rules that might be causing this? Can you open the users
mailbox in Outlook to verify?

Hi and thanks for your reply.

I have switched off all rules and checked in the Deleted Items folder. No
new messages. The users account functions perfectly for internal mail.

Does this help? It's like the server ispicking up the messages but failing
to push them to the users account.
