To "browse" the GAL like Outlook, you'll need 3rd party add-ons like
MessageWare's PlusPack.
You can type a name and click the resolve button (looks like a user
super-imposed with a checkmark) or CTRL-K to have the address looked
up/resolved and there's a find user function as well when you click the To:
button in a new message.
