GAL Problem! |
|
|
Hi,
I'm running MS Exchange Server 2003 with SP2, on client when I pressed send
received button its shows following error under "Errors" Tab.
Task "Microsoft Exchange Server" reported error (0x8004010F) : 'The
operation faild. An object could not be found.'
Clients are able to send and received e-mail properly but GAL are also not
populated completely only default GAL displayed.
Please let me know how can I resolve this issue

Hey Naseem,
Quickly,
Try to add an another user profile in the Outlook and try to resolv
the new user. If it works fine, thene there is some thing U need t
look at Exchange end. If, it does not resolves, permission problem wit
exchange server. Try to configure the users in Admin account and no
admin accounts too.
Cheers

Hi Naseem,
Does this error occur for all users, a few or just one?
Have your either recently moved to a new server or recreated your offline
address list?
If this issue occurs for all users then try the following:
Can you go to properties of your information store/s and click browse to
re-find your Offline Address List. You will need to restart the Microsoft
Exchange Information Store Service.
Let us know how you go.

You dont happen to have cache mode enabled do you? We have had all kinds of
issues when that was enabled to where the GAL would not want to pull from the
servers at all. We turn off cache mode and all is fine. We have decided to
NOT use this feature.
