I have just migrated from 5.5 to 2003. Any mail with attachments over 1Mb
gets non delivered to my mailbox where I can resend it succesfully.

I have checked the default global delivery setting, the SMTP vitual server
delivery options and ADUC setting which are all within the limits.

Why is this mail not being delivered directly when I can resend OK?

Do any errors show up in event logs? Does this happen to you if you send an
attachment and have it rejected the first time and then resend it works or
are you the only one able to send these? Sounds like a permissions issue
somewhere possibly.

Nothing is shown in the event logs ( I am not sure what level of logging to
enable that will help)
All the users recieve mail OK if attachments are not above 1Mb so this rules
out the permission theory. All the mail that is being non delivered is from
outside the organization.I recieve all the NDR's because I have configured
the Virtual SMTP connector to forward them to me.
