Our Exchange environment upgrade has become extremely complicated. We currently have 2003 and we are looking to upgrade to 2010. We are running into a problem because our internal domain has an _ in the name. It appears this is a show stopper for 2010 Exchange. I created a new domain in a new subnet. I have both the DC and Exchange Client Access server installed. My questions is can I do a phased deployment if the 2003 and 2010 Exchange servers are in different domains? Networking is setup so both domains can ping each other. Do I need to use trust between the two domains? Any advice would be much appreciated.
