We currently have Exchange 2003 with many distribution lists. We have
one distribution list that contains all staff (1000 + users).
What we would like to have happen is to have all users be able to email
the "ALL USERS" distribution list - BUT not have anyone able to reply
to the message sent to this list. Many people have suggested going to
"Message Restrictions" area and selecting "from authenticated users
only" but this is not what I've described above. All user MUST be able
to send to the list - just that they cant reply to ALL USERS messages
that have been sent.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mike

Mike-

I don't know of a way to do this without a custom event sink. A reply is
simply a message to the list when everything boils down - no different than
a new thread.

SMTP Event Sinks are scripts/dll's that you register with the smtp server,
and thent he code in them fires when messages are received by the server.
You can proces the message, throw it out, etc. MSDN is the palce to get more
info on this (I've told youa bout all I know abou the subject).
