setting up new system attendant resource |
|
|
Hi, I can't seem to get beyond the part of adding a sys attendant resource
to
my new four node cluster. Every time i try to add it in it comes up with an
error refering to kerberos and/or DNS error number c1037b3a. I have DNS
enabled on my network name but not kerberos (again an error). I am using
win\exch 2003 there are policies enabled. Any ideas. Do I need the enable
kerberos switch before setting up the sys attemdant resource?

Hi Neil,
Please see if the following information helps resolve this:
How to Troubleshoot the Cluster Service Account When It Modifies Computer
Objects http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=307532
"Cluster Service Accout", "Using Kerberos Authentication in a Server
Cluster" and "Creating Computer Objects" sections from:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/windowsserver2003/technologies/clustering/srclscbp.mspx#EAAA
Hope this helps.

Thanks Scott,
I thought that it would prove to be a Policy issue and so it proved to be.
Thanks again for the info it was spot on.
