Exch2K3 inst. problem |
|
|
Hi,
Today I made a new Exch3K3 inst. on a new win2k3 server (DC).
When ther win2k3 server has no exch inst. on i I have no problems - but when
I inst. the exchange server I always get this error when I shot down or
starts the server:
svchost.exe - application error. The instruction at "0x7718a22a" referenced
memory at "0x641ea27c" The memory could not be "read"
I have don the installation 3 times now with the same problem every time.
What is the solution to my problem.......do you thik, that there is
something wrong with my memory (RAM)?
Regards,
Torben Brøndum

I don't believe this error is related to Exchange rather a native Windows
service/process, the person in below article had the problem disappear by
reinstalling the OS as well:

The thread links to another similar post where the issue was caused by the
(Windows Image Acquisition) WIA Service, did you enable that one even
though it's disabled by default?

Hi Torben,
I have exactly the same situation with a W2k3 std DC which i installed
as Exchange 2003 Standard server aswell. Other details:
Software: SQL2000 STD, Symantec AV9 Corp, Diskeeper 8 Server, Veritas
BExec 9.1
Hardware: IBM x346, Liebert GXT2U Ups with multilink software, 3 74GB
10krpm hdd's, ServeRAID 7k RAID controller.
Let me know if there's any other overlap with my configuration and
yours.
Cheers!
