When a message is sent using SMTP external system to Exchange, when it is
opened in Outlook 2003, the message shows the SMTP address of the recipient,
instead of Exchange alias (the address that appears in GAL)

I notice that this happens only to one recipient
What could be the reason?

Environment
Exchange 2003 on Windows 2003
Exchange Mixed Mode
Active Dir Mixed Mode
Outlook 2003 on Windows XP

Please advice
Thank you
