Migrating to Exchange 2003 server |
|
|
I will be doing several migrations to Exchange 2003 from various source email
systems as I work for a company providing an off site mail system outsourcing
solution. I wanted to know if there are any good 3rd party tools that anyone
would recommend for this kind of task, or what kind of sucess people have had
with the MS Exchange Migration Wizard for 2003.

Solutions tend to be based on the same api's that the migration wizard uses
last I heard. That said, companies like Qwest Software come to mind if
you're looking for migration tools with some real helpful extras (in your
case they may be necessary). Having used them in the past for various
migrations, I'm a big fan.

I concurr with Al...Quest Software makes some great products. They actually
purchased a few of the good product lines and appear to be wrapping them
together. Aelita's toolset, purchased by Quest, was one of the best
toolsets out there.
NetIQ also makes a good set of Migration tools, too.
Migrations can be performed with the Microsoft tools. The third-party tools
just make it easier. (see Al's API statement)
