How to delete corrupted messages |
|
|
Hi there,
I run Exchange 2K on W2K. Some users can't open some messages with Outlook,
neither can programs like Backup Exec. These messages are also reported on
the application log of the Mail server like with the error 8004011B-82000387.
Well, I think these are junk messages, and I want to destroy them. But given
that Outlook can't delete them ("operation has failed"), is there a way I can
get rid of them ?
Thanks for your help ...

Hi,
You only need the Mdbvu32.exe utility. Then you can remove those items
easily. See the next doc:

Great !
Thanks, Pablo, that was just what I needed.
Still, one more info please ...
I could delete the messages that were corrupted, but after a long search,
because only the message object is listed, and not sorted, and for a mailbox
with several hundreds mails ... Is there a way in mdbvu32 to search or sort
the messages, when you just know the object and/or the date ?
Thanks again !
