Is there any way to delete emails in queue. We have a large number of
messages that are pending in the e-mail server send queue. And all of them
are from spamers that the system is trying to send a message back to the
sender.

Thanks,
R. Hayden

You can manually purge the contents of individual queues, but I suspect that
your queues have many domains listed, right?

Unfortunately, if that is the case, there isn't much you can do (i.e. can't
delete all NDR's from all queues). But, I would keep in mind that just
having e-mail sitting in the queue shouldn't be placing much of a load at
all on your server. Large companies routinely have many domains listed in
the queues.

Hi Sky-King,

you should try to find a good AntiSPAM Solution which rejects all rubbish
before it even enters your system. Then you wouldnt have these queue
problems.
Most important features nowadays are SPF (spf.pobox.com) and AD user
lookups.

Kind Regards
Stefan

Ben,

Thanks for replying.

Your right about the emails coming from many domains. We are having some
problems with email setting in outboxes and internal emails taken longer
then expected to reach someone within the office. We are a small firm of
about 30 computers and all on site. It just seems that it would take but a
few seconds to reach someone and not a minute or 2.

I believe that Microsoft PSS has a tool to delete emails in queue.

The following article describes how to prevent exchange 2003 server from
accepting undeliverable email and therefore would reduce the amount of items
in your badmail folder and in your Outbound Queue.
