exchange server into this network. i need to setup the server on my DMZ. how
do i get all 3 domain to get there mail from this server. i am thinking of
establish a trust between the domains and the exchange server. but the
domains are in private ip address, is that going to be a problem ?

- are your 3 AD domains part of the same Forest? If they are, you don't need
to manually establish a trust, it exists by default in your environment.
- do not place Exchange server in a perimeter network
- you could place one Exchange server in one of the domains, and perhaps a
SMTP server (including Windows Server 2003 SMTP server) in DMZ

Because your firewall will look like swiss cheese.... is there a specific
reason you want to place Exchange in a DMZ?

If you have 3 different domains in different Forests, your Exchange
deployment is going to be more complicated (than if you had the 3 domains in
a single AD Forest).

thanks for your respond. no the 3 domains are not pare of a forest, and how
do i split the smtp and exchange server between my network and DMZ. I was
thinking of putting the exchange box on the DMZ, why that is not recommanded?

Thanks
