We have a lot of users who are working in branch office. We decided to
install additional exchange server in branch office. In this moment users who
are working in branch office have their mailboxes in main office. How can I
in most efficient way move their mailboxes to a new exchange server in branch
office. We have quite slow link and replication doesn't pass as a solution

I think it's better to use ExMerge to export those user's mailboxes.
1. Use ExMerge with the archive option in order to extract messages from
those user's mailboxes (the maiboxes will be empty)
2. Move the users to the new server. This will result in very little traffic
going through the link, since the mailboxes are now empty
3. Burn a CD/DVD or any other media with the resulting .PST and import them
to the server.

You can somehow automate this process by using a EXMERGE.INI file.

Thank you for this!

I have single mailbox store in main office containing about 3000 users and
I
want to export about 70 mailboxes.

I thought to move those mailboxes to a new nailbox store on exchange
server
in main office, then backup this mailbox store, burn it to CD, and then
restore it on destination exchange server. What is better? Will users in
branch office automatically be redirected to a new exchange server?

Regards,
Marko

You can instruct users to do that by themselves, or you can use ExMerge.
