No inbound or outbound mail can get through |
|
|
I was looking to implement pop3 into our existing smtp e-mail, so i made the
server a mail server (server is running 2003 and exchange 2003) this stopped
all my e-mail traffic, so i removed the mail server role and in the process
hosed my smtp i was trying to set it back up w/o having to reinstal exchange
Any tips ideas lifelines or just what in the world were you thinking comments

Check the following KBAs:
XIMS: Cannot Send Mail After Re-Installing the IIS SMTP Service
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;q290290
How to Remove and Reinstall IIS and Exchange
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;%5BLN%5D;320202
Just what in the world were you thinking anyway? :)
