- What are you trying to accomplish?
- Doesn't ServerA already have mailboxes on it? (Move the mailboxes to
ServerB before making ServerA a FE).
- RPC over HTTP/s allows users to use Outlook 2003 client over HTTPS port,
and can eliminate need of establishing a vpn connection before using
Outlook.

| Quote: | Our organization has implemented two new Exchange 2003 servers into our
domain and we currently have an Exchange 2000 server that hosts 90% of the
mailboxes. We've moved a handful of the mailboxes to Exchange2003 server
A so that they would be accessible via OWA. We now are looking at moving
the mailboxes and public folders to Exchsvr 2003 B and allowing svr A to
act as a front end server. Is the RPC over HTTP/s the only way to go? |
