This is on a new Exchange Server 2003 Cluster on Windows Server 2003.

The exchange cluster has been setup but I can't get any of the mailbox
stores to mount.

When I attempt to mount any store, the following events are logged in the
application event log:

Event ID: 9175 Source: MSExchangeSA
The MAPI call 'OpenMsgStore' failed with the following error:
The attempt to log on to the Microsoft Exchange Server computer has failed.
The MAPI provider failed.
Microsoft Exchange Server Information Store
ID no: 8004011d-0512-00000000

EventID: 9546 Source: MSExchangeIS
Failed to create the Event Registration Mailbox for Database First Storage
Group\Mailbox Store (DEGAS). Error - 0xbf69.

EventID: 9519 Source: MSExchnageIS
Error 0x80004005 starting database "First Storage Group\Mailbox Store
(DEGAS)" on the Microsoft Exchange Information Store.

I've look at Knowledge Base Articles :
Q271339 - Doesn't apply, our recipient policy hasn't changed and currently
does not meet the criteria in this article
Q274534 - There are no additional accounts. The number of accounts match
exactly with our current exchange email server

Not sure where to go from here

Thanks for any feedback/input/suggestions.

Travis -

Do you have any event 1233 from source MSExchangeIS in your application log?
If so, you may want to call PSS and request the hotfix KB.898126 (KB is not
done, so it's not visible yet -- but the hotfix is available as a no-charge
call to PSS).

Thanks for the help/investigation. Event 1233 was not in the event log. I
re-created the system-attendent resource in the EVS group and the stores
mounted (after a short delay for replication).

Thanks regardless.

This is is likely the case of the computer account for that node somehow not
being in the Exchange Domain Servers security group. Add both node's
computer objects to that group and you should be fine.
